Convergint was built upon a solid foundation of Values & Beliefs, one of the most important being “We expect to be our customers’ best service provider—no matter what business we are in.”
To achieve this goal for strategic and global customers, Convergint utilizes a defined Program Management process to maximize the customers’ overall business outcomes. What does the Program Management process look like, and why is it so valuable to customers? Convergint spoke with three Program Managers from across the globe who have the answers. Watch the video below.
What is Program Management?
Program Management provides a single point of contact for overall coordination with the customer, colleagues, and partners. This allows Convergint to hold individuals and teams accountable to the deliverables, and ensure adherence to best practices while maintaining operational excellence. The key part to effective Program Management is the development of a playbook. This provides the rules for how Convergint will operate within the customer’s complex business while helping to deliver a standardized program across their security environment.
Program Management also offers customers regular, proactive communication, utilizing tracking tools to keep everyone informed.
What makes Program Management a valuable service for our customers?
Recently, the COVID-19 pandemic changed the way many organizations conduct business across the globe. During this time, Program Management has been invaluable in supporting Converignt customers, providing them with with policy updates, new tech requirements, tools to assist in managing and monitoring these changes, and constant communication between colleagues and customers.
How is Program Management different at Convergint?
“What makes Program Management different for us is that it’s not a role that is specific to sales, project management, service, or any of the other various components that can make up delivering a project. Program Managers are focused leaders that bring each of these pieces together under a unified program. Much like a maestro leads an orchestra, Program Managers bring together the right people at the right time to make a masterpiece.”
