Convergint colleagues took part in Convergint Social Responsibility Day on the 9th of June 2023. Colleagues from Convergint Ireland participated in the day by volunteering for the Marymount University Hospital & Hospice.
About Marymount University Hospital & Hospice
Marymount University Hospital & Hospice provides specialist palliative care services and services to care for dependent older people. As the specialist palliative care service for Cork city and county, Marymount Hospice serves as a centre for co-ordinating the delivery of palliative care services across all care settings in Cork. Their services include a 44-bed in-patient unit, a day care service (day hospice), an out-patient department, community-based services, and bereavement and family support services. For older people, Marymount Hospital provides long-term care, respite, and palliative care support services.
How Convergint colleagues helped
During the Convergint Social Responsibility Day, the Convergint Ireland team extended their support to Marymount Hospice. The team’s primary focus was to enhance the hospice’s outdoor spaces and create a soothing environment for patients and their families. Convergint Ireland team undertook the task of painting the exterior garden walls, adding a fresh, and vibrant touch to the surroundings.
The Convergint Ireland team was committed to making a positive impact on the Marymount Hospice community during the CSRD. Through their collective efforts in painting the garden walls and tidying up the garden, they aimed to contribute to the overall well-being and comfort of those who rely on the hospice’s care and support.
Not only did Convergint colleagues get to give back to the community, the day was enriching for Convergint colleagues. Convergint colleagues have become closer outside of their daily work and are looking forward to next year.
