The Convergint Development Program (CDP) is an entry-level rotational training program that will prepare participants for an exciting sales or project management position within the security and life safety industry. Throughout the program, specific skills are developed through a combination of mentor training as well as formal training courses. This program focuses on providing industry knowledge and business practices including product training, system design, system installation, estimates and proposals, and more.
The program offers a structured training schedule, beginning with a 1-week virtual onboarding that includes administrative orientation and introductory courses. This is followed by a 4-week in-person boot camp, covering department overviews, technical training, and specialized tracks for sales or project management. After boot camp, colleagues undergo 4 months of field training, involving rotational shadowing, hands-on experience in various roles, support for their CTC, site surveys, and customer meetings, ensuring comprehensive preparation for their roles while fostering a broad understanding of Convergint and the security industry.
Recently, Convergint’s August 2023 CDP class successfully completed their program.
