Charitable initiatives included Convergint Cares Foundation, Ken LaChance Colleague Emergency Fund, and the Nimsdai Foundation
Convergint, a global leader in service-based systems integration, today announced that more than $60,000 was donated to charitable initiatives during its annual InterNational Conference, which took place from March 6-9, 2022 in Grapevine, Texas. Of these donations, $58,000 was donated by colleagues and partners, and an additional $5,000 was donated by Convergint. In alignment with the company’s longstanding Values and Beliefs, the conference provided its more than 1100 attendees the opportunity to make charitable donations through a silent auction and a pop-up shop, both of which donated 100% of proceeds.
“Giving back comes naturally to Convergint’s colleagues—and the funds donated to our foundations this year, over just four days, are nothing short of impressive,” said Ken Lochiatto, CEO of Convergint. “This generosity is a direct reflection of Convergint’s culture of giving, anchored by our Values and Beliefs and dedication to our global and local communities.”
Charitable initiatives at Convergint’s InterNational conference included:
- The Convergint Cares Foundation: the Convergint Cares Foundation’s mission is to provide educational financial assistance to the families of US-based Convergint colleagues and further Convergint’s global social responsibility efforts supporting not-for-profit entities throughout underserved communities. Convergint Cares is a 501(c)(3).
- The Nimsdai Foundation: this foundation was founded by 2022 Convergint InterNational guest speaker Nimsdai Purja as a means of giving back to the mountain communities of his homeland. The foundation supports educational, technological, and capacity-building initiatives, helping guide the way for climbers of the future.
- Ken LaChance Colleague Emergency Fund: this fund provides limited financial assistance to eligible colleagues who are experiencing unforeseeable economic hardship due to certain emergency situations.
Giving back to the community is a central part of Convergint’s culture. In addition to these charitable initiatives and donations made following the InterNational conference, the company will close in June 2022 for its 21st annual Convergint Social Responsibility Day allowing colleagues to go out and volunteer in their communities through various service projects. In 2021, Convergint Social Responsibility Day resulted in over $1 million in donated payroll and more than $122,500 in technology, school, and non-profit donations.
