Convergint Women Connect Recognizes Arlene Wilde For Making a Daily Difference

I’ve been in the industry since 2007, starting in logistics before moving into the security fire alarm sector. Originally from Michigan, I relocated to Atlanta 19 years ago. While working in logistics, I connected with Convergint. After 12 years with my previous employer, I sought a bigger impact and joined Convergint in February 2019 as a Program Manager, leveraging my logistics background. Over time, I transitioned to a new role, building and leading a successful team since May 2021. Convergint has been an exceptional place to grow and make a significant impact!

I teach my daughter the importance of reputation and integrity, emphasizing that our word is everything. This principle has shaped my professional life, as demonstrated by my strong relationships with colleagues and customers. Being dependable is crucial to me; if I commit to something, I follow through, or I make sure to communicate any delays and set new expectations. I believe in leading by example and maintaining high standards, which I hope inspires others to do the same.

This philosophy extends beyond work to everyday life, where doing what’s right is paramount. I encourage and support my colleagues to reach their potential, emphasizing the importance of trust and growth. Emotional intelligence and caring for others are key to my leadership style, ensuring that I not only achieve my goals but also help others succeed.

I’m most excited about the prospect of going global. I’ve been vocal about expansion plans, and while nothing’s set in stone yet, change is on the horizon. Embracing change has always been a part of my ethos, something I actively cultivated in my early 20s by rearranging furniture in my house to adapt better. This adaptability has been crucial in my career, and I’m eager to pass it on to my team. Learning and growth are constants for me; whether it was mastering my role as a program manager or anticipating the global shift, I’m always seeking new knowledge and encouraging my team to do the same. I firmly believe that the more we know, the more we can achieve, and I’m excited to see where this global journey takes us.

Primarily, I’m more of a behind-the-scenes person; recognition isn’t a big deal for me because I see it as part of my job, and one one I genuinely enjoy. I do make time for self-care, often hitting the gym either in the morning or during lunch breaks, a habit I maintained even during tough times at my previous job. Working from home now makes it more convenient, given that my gym is nearby. Running is another activity I find relaxing. Additionally, I find joy in watching my daughter play softball; I used to play too, so there’s a personal connection there. I’ve even taken on assistant coaching for her team this season, as I’m deeply invested in her development and can’t resist being involved.

My secret to making a daily difference is simply by being there for others and striving to leave a positive impact. Whether it’s in my role or through initiatives like affinity groups, I always look for ways to support others and make a difference. I find it hard to say no because helping others comes naturally to me, and I’m constantly seeking opportunities to assist and uplift those around me.

I believe in collaboration and value the input of my colleagues, understanding that working together as a team yields the best results. My goal is not only to achieve success myself but also to see my team members grow and thrive. While I may prefer to stay behind the scenes, it’s the collective effort of my team that truly makes the difference, and I take pride in encouraging and supporting them every step of the way!
