A core value and belief at Convergint Technologies is that we expect to be our customers’ best service provider. An integral part of providing great service is worker safety and ensuring all Convergint customers, colleagues, and partners get home safely at the end of each day.
Recently, Convergint achieved a significant milestone of 1,000 days without a recordable injury on all Chevron projects with contractor D.E. Harvey Builders. This is a prime example of Convergint colleagues living out the company’s core values and beliefs on a daily basis.
“Chevron and D.E. Harvey have shown impressive safety leadership in attaining 1,000 days without a recordable injury,” said Brad Williams, General Manager at Convergint Technologies. “This is a significant accomplishment for the entire project team. Construction is an inherently dangerous environment. It requires consistent effort, communication, and engagement by the entire project team. We are honored and thankful to be part of this team and its commitment to building a world-class safety culture at Convergint. Working with outstanding safety organizations like Chevron and D.E. Harvey help us achieve this objective.”
“Convergint has been in partnership with Chevron since 2006 and has been an integral part in improving our safety culture,” said Michael Gross, Safety Officer at Convergint Technologies. “We have adopted some companywide safety standards and procedures from Chevron, such as our daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), which has reduced injuries significantly over the last several years.”
Convergint is committed to completing all projects and service calls with zero incidents or injuries. In order to achieve this goal, the safety and health of all personnel including customers, contractors, clients, employees, or members of the general public all receive consideration in all phases of the project. This includes planning, scheduling, and execution of the project. Convergint has a dedicated Safety Coordinator in each office location who is under the direction of the Corporate Safety Officer. Each Safety Coordinator and the Corporate Safety Officer continuously evaluate the health, safety, and environmental (“HSE”) aspects of our products, installations, and services.
