David Reed
Principal Cybersecurity Consultant, Convergint
David Reed is a cybersecurity practitioner with 19 years of experience. He served for over 13 years in the US Army and at the NSA, conducting cyber operations and training tactical signals operators. David has extensive experience in manufacturing, telecommunication, and other critical infrastructure entities with a primary focus on mobile device vulnerabilities. At Convergint, David helps customers identify cyber risks in their physical security systems and provides solutions to mitigate those risks.
As Chief Executive Officer of Sentinel Security Solutions, a leading Global Security and Crisis Management firm, Charles serves as a strategic advisor to high net worth families, Fortune 500 companies, sports organizations, and government clients. He is a recognized expert on National and Homeland Security matters, emerging threats, and programs. He regularly appears on major cable news networks to provide expert analysis on National security matters and situations.
Charles served as a Supervisory Special Agent in the United States Secret Service (USSS) under 3 Presidents, ensuring individual and family safety across various domestic and international locations. He also led a 1,300-member Electronic Crimes Task Force to effectively investigate complex financial and cyber-crimes in partnership with private sector and law enforcement partners.
As the Senior Law Enforcement Advisor to former DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano from 2009-2011, Charles was responsible for oversight of complex homeland security and law enforcement policies and programs, including the implementation of the National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) and the “See Something, Say Something” national campaign. Charles is a graduate of the prestigious National War College, receiving a Master of Science degree in National Security Strategy.
