St. Joseph Orphanage in Cincinnati, OH had new security cameras installed through Convergint’s STEP Up for Schools social responsibility initiative. General Manager Steve McCarthy spoke to WLWT Cincinnati on the importance of this program and why giving back is a central pillar of Convergint’s cultural philosophy. As part of Convergint’s 18th annual Social Responsibility Day, colleagues across the company got out of the office and gave back to their communities through free security upgrades, beautification, and donated materials.
This project was featured in a recent newscast, featured below.
“It hits us all in the heart when we see the tragic stories, and for us to be able to close the doors and give back, specifically to schools, it’s just an awesome way to give back.”
~ Steve McCarthy, General Manager at Convergint Technologies
About STEP Up
Enhancing school security can provide a vital level of protection for students, faculty, and visitors. In that spirit, Convergint created its STEP Up initiative to help strengthen security in our schools. This program was launched during Convergint’s annual Social Responsibility Day. Convergint colleagues went out into their local communities and provided underserved schools with interior and exterior security systems installations, security upgrades, and security assessments.
