Convergint gave back to 18 schools through its STEP Up for Schools initiative as part of its 18th annual Social Responsibility Day. As a global systems integrator, Convergint used its unique position to step up and help increase safety in K-12 schools, especially those in underserved communities.
Convergint colleagues donated time and materials to St. Joseph Orphanage in Cincinnati, OH by installing new cameras and enhancing their landscaping. These upgrades will help ensure the safety of the staff and students. This project was featured in a recent newscast from ABC Cincinnati, featured below.
“The work they are doing on the cameras is extra important. It’s going to help us to ensure that we are able to keep our kids and our staff safe.”
~ Carrie Allison, Communications Specialist, St. Josephs Orphanage
About STEP Up
Enhancing school security can provide a vital level of protection for students, faculty, and visitors. In that spirit, Convergint created its STEP Up initiative to help strengthen security in our schools. This program was launched during Convergint’s annual Social Responsibility Day. Convergint colleagues went out into their local communities and provided underserved schools with interior and exterior security systems installations, security upgrades, and security assessments.
