Convergint’s affinity group for women, Convergint Women Connect, aims to evolve Convergint’s culture through advocacy, education, community, and visibility. Their mission is to make Convergint the most equitable and inclusive global service provider for women of all identities and backgrounds. Through visibility, CWC’s goal is to foster an environment that lifts underrepresented voices within Convergint and the industry through initiatives focused on recognition and networking. To recognize and celebrate women across Convergint Nation, Convergint Women Connect has created the Daily Difference Award.

The Daily Difference Award is a peer-nominated recognition award given to women at Convergint who make a daily difference by representing one of the company’s most deeply-held Values and Beliefs: I have integrity–it’s what I do when no one’s watching.

This quarter, Robyn Regular was one of three Daily Difference Award recipients, nominated by her colleagues for her exceptional dedication, selflessness, and proactive support for her team members. Read the interview below where Rachel discusses how Robyn exemplifies the company’s values and contributes to the team’s success.

Tell us a little bit about your career with Convergint.

I have been with Convergint for nearly seven years. I started with the 915 team on-site in Fort McMurray, working as an onsite administrator for four years. After a maternity leave during this period, I returned and transitioned to a different role within the 915 team. I worked in that role for about a year before being approached to join Bonnie’s team as a Project Coordinator.

You won the Daily Difference Award based on your ongoing commitment to Convergint’s V&B: I have integrity–it’s what I do when no one’s watching. What does this value mean to you?

That’s funny because during our annual reviews, we have to choose the V&B that resonates most with us. I always choose integrity; I’ve never switched it up. It fits well with me, and it’s the principle I strive to work by daily and live by in my own life. If you do everything with integrity, it helps you be the best person you can be. It supports you in performing well in your job, making good connections with people, and overall, it just guides you to do the right thing.

How do you personally define success?

I think success changes with different stages of your life. In my early 20s, I was more focused and career-driven. Now, in my mid-30s, with a child and another on the way, my definition of success has evolved. It now involves things that it didn’t before, like family. I didn’t even know if I wanted kids before, but now I can’t imagine my life without them.

Success depends on your goals in life. For me, it’s about being happy and working towards something that makes you happy. If you can achieve that, then you’re successful.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

I’d probably choose the ability to teleport! It would be amazing to instantly be anywhere I want to be without the hassle of travel. I could visit family in Newfoundland or explore Italy at a moment’s notice. Teleporting would offer convenience and adventure, without the limitations of distance or time.

What is your secret to making a daily difference?

I believe it boils down to integrity, though it might sound cliché. Let me give you some context: I worked with the 915 team for years, and even though I technically moved on to Bonnie’s team a year and a half ago, when they faced a tough time losing a colleague to breast cancer in December, I couldn’t turn away. Despite not directly reporting to them anymore, I felt compelled to support my former team in their time of need. This integrity-driven commitment led me to assist them outside of my work hours, sometimes juggling another full-time role. If anyone operates with integrity and a genuine desire to help others, they’ll naturally strive to alleviate stress and make a positive impact whenever possible. That’s my approach to making a daily difference!
