From Projects to People: Sandeep’s Journey of Leadership at Convergint
Sandeep’s journey with Convergint began in 2015 when he joined as a Project Engineer in Mumbai. His dedication and skill quickly propelled him through the ranks. By 2018, he had been promoted to Project Manager, and in 2019, he advanced to the role of Senior Project Manager. His leadership abilities shone through, and in 2021, he became the National Project Manager. By 2023, Sandeep was entrusted with the role of Service Department Manager, overseeing Convergint India’s western region which includes Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, and Madhya Pradesh.
Building and leading a strong team
When Sandeep first joined Convergint, the team in Mumbai consisted of just one other colleague. Today, he leads a much larger team across two offices in Mumbai and Pune, guiding them through the complexities of project and service delivery. His focus on maintaining high standards and fostering strong customer relationships has been central to his success.

Overcoming challenges together
Sandeep reflects on his nine-year career at Convergint with deep appreciation for the support he received during challenging times, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. “I never felt like I was sailing alone,” he shares, emphasising the strength of his team’s unity and the collaborative environment that helped them navigate the uncertainties of the pandemic together.

Freedom, responsibility, and balance
Throughout his time at Convergint, Sandeep has valued the freedom and responsibility the company has given him. He appreciates the roadmap for growth provided not just for himself, but for his entire team. “As a decision-maker, I feel supported by my team, and that makes all the difference,” Sandeep notes. This sense of empowerment, combined with the flexibility to balance work and personal life, has allowed him to thrive both professionally and personally.

Outside of his demanding role, Sandeep is a travel enthusiast who loves spending time with his family. He also makes time for his passion for fitness, rising early in the morning to cycle and stay in shape. This balance between work, family, and personal interests is something Sandeep deeply values, and it is a testament to the culture of support and flexibility that Convergint fosters.
