A global chemicals company implemented an APAC-wide visitor management system via two independent systems deployed on separate cloud environments to meet the requirements of distinct geographical regions: Microsoft Azure was used across APAC whilst Ali-Cloud was adopted for mainland China.
At various sites, self-service kiosks streamline the visitor registration process, while hosts verify their identity by tapping corporate cards before welcoming visitors. Upon verification, temporary visitor cards are automatically issued with access levels, facilitating smooth passage through turnstiles.
For internal visitors not based on the site, staff can borrow temporary cards or request the receptionist to assign their badges with appropriate access levels. Additionally, facial capture technology ensures enhanced security by taking a photo of the visitor’s face which is then printed on their visitor label for identification purposes. A renowned university implemented Convergint’s visitor management system on their campus, seamlessly integrating with Microsoft ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services), enabling staff to access the system using their existing accounts for a streamlined login process. Integrated with the customer’s Lenel OnGuard access control system, visitors who successfully check in receive a visitor label with a QR code, granting them access through turnstiles equipped with QR code readers.
Additionally, integration with the campus’ parking system enhances visitor convenience. Pre-registration of license plate numbers allows visitors to drive in directly, optimising parking procedures. This comprehensive integration enhances security, efficiency, and safety measures for visitors and the entire campus.
A global cosmetics customer implemented Convergint’s visitor management system to streamline and enhance visitor management, hosted on a private cloud infrastructure via the customer’s IT team to ensure data privacy and control. Integrated with the site’s Lenel OnGuard access control system, the solution facilitates seamless visitor check-ins, automatically issuing temporary visitor cards with assigned access levels. These cards enable visitors to pass through turnstiles directly upon successful check-in.
Moreover, the system offers versatility through multiple user interfaces styles, providing two sets of customised user interfaces with distinct aesthetics.
