Artificial Intelligence has the power to move physical security from forensic investigations to real-time threat mitigation. But the explosion of vendors in the market makes it nearly impossible to know who to trust, which companies will go the distance, and whether a vendor’s technology truly delivers on its promises. This workshop will introduce you to the basic principles behind evaluating AI and provide the tools to make smart decisions in the transition to AI-based security operations. The learning objective for this roundtable discussion are:

  • Master core AI terms and concepts as applied to physical security

  • Determine fact from fiction when it comes to AI claims

  • Learn how AI can improve security effectiveness, response times and ROI

  • Gain a methodology to evaluate and select the right vendor for your organization

Speakers

Scott Frigaard

Digital Transformation, Convergint

Scott enables the adoption of Digital Transformation solutions with a focus on Data Fusion, AI and Autonomous Solutions. Rather than detecting and responding to an incident, his goal is to leverage all available data sources to identify and mitigate threats before they occur, then address events quicker and with the most appropriate response. The outcome is a more proactive, predictive and preventative security posture. Scott has spoken frequently on the topic of data fusion, drone detection, city-wide video surveillance, license plate recognition and the need for integration of all physical security applications across the enterprise.

Before starting Camio, Carter was Director of Product Management at Google, where he brought us Local Search in Google Maps, Google Earth, Google Mobile and Web Search. Ryan Schonfeld

Founder & CEO, HiveWatch

In 2015, Founder Ryan Schonfeld was working as a leader of a Fortune 500 company’s Global Security & Safety Technology Group when he decided he just couldn’t take the status quo any more. Constantly hearing, “because that’s the way it’s always been done” and inefficiencies stemming from disparate systems and antiquated practices had gotten to be too much for him. With that, RAS Consulting & Investigations was created to walk his clients through planning, education, and management of risk and liability, creating best-in-class, technology-forward security programs for rapidly growing organizations. Through these services he found that there was a need for scalable security, which some companies didn’t have the knowledge or human capital to create. From there sprung the idea of RAS Watch (now HiveWatch’s Swarm), a global security operation center (GSOC) as a service. In March of 2020 when the world stopped turning and the COVID-19 pandemic took over, Ryan recognized another need for a SaaS platform to make security leaders more aware, more connected, more proactive, and more informed – so he founded HiveWatch.
