In Europe, the Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities kicked off at the start of October with an informative introductory call detailing the upcoming plans for the month. On October 12th, a notable guest speaker convened with over 60 colleagues from various parts of Europe to discuss the importance of the month.
Colleague highlights
Throughout the month of October, colleagues from across Europe came together in a show of unwavering support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Their united efforts included vibrant pink coffee mornings, a sea of pink attire, the creation of delectable pink confections, and virtual team meetings that allowed colleagues to participate from all corners of the continent.
On October 19th, both Convergint’s UK offices organised special luncheons to further emphasise their commitment to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The offices were transformed into a sea of vibrant pink decorations, complemented by an array of delightful pink treats for all to enjoy. To demonstrate their dedication, Convergint UK colleagues also made a weekly pledge to wear pink every Thursday throughout October.
Meanwhile, Convergint Ireland a 5k lunchtime walk was orchestrated, with participants donning striking pink-themed attire, turning Thursdays into “Pink Thursdays” to encourage everyone to proudly sport pink, and even hosted a costume event on October 26th. Colleagues went a step further by sharing images of themselves dressed in pink, making a powerful statement of solidarity for breast cancer awareness that resonated on a global scale.
These initiatives, executed with enthusiasm and commitment, underscore Convergint’s dedication to raising awareness for this vital cause. It’s clear that colleagues across Europe are united in their mission to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, leaving a lasting impact that transcends borders.
