David J. Klug has over 30 years of experience in public safety, security, and biometric technologies and services.  David started his career as a forensic scientist at the Northern Illinois Police Crime Laboratory and earned his M.S. in forensic science from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy. David has presented professionally to the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), Security Industry Association (SIA), International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), ISC West, American Academy of Forensic Sciences, U.K. Forensic Science Society, International Association for Identification (IAI), INTERPOL in Lyon, France, and various defense, justice, and homeland security groups. He was a contributing member of the Department of Defense Gatekeeper On The Move—Biometrics (GOTM-B) team for contactless, multi-modal biometrics, and threat detection. Today, David is responsible for state and local government and education strategic business development for Convergint’s eastern U.S. regions and leads Convergint’s Grants & Funding Team.

Shelley Andrews joined Convergint in January 2023 as the SLED BDM for the Pacific Northwest/Rocky Mountain/Desert Pacific Regions. She is responsible for State and Local government, K12, and Higher Education strategic business development in 12 Western States. Shelley’s previous roles include 10 years in the Cooperative Purchasing industry and public procurement, and 10 years in Public Education with a Washington State School District.  In the last 12 years, she’s managed regionally and nationally giving her the opportunity to work with agencies, vendors, and associations from around the country. In her current role she has the opportunity to provide world-class security education and solutions to educational institutions representing Convergint, the world’s largest security systems integrator.
